RE: Mills Trophy Race Dockage
Dear Mills Race Competitor,
I encourage all competitors to attend the Mills Race Party at the Toledo Yacht Club
on June 6th. The Toledo Yacht Club welcomes your boat to one of their docks so you can enjoy the
atmosphere. I understand that this is not always convenient, so it is my privilege to offer
competitors associated with ILYA, AYC and DRYA temporary dockage at North Cape before the100th Mills Trophy Race.
Participation in the 100th Mills Race is considerably greater than in recent years which will
likely increase demand on our limited dockage. We anticipate having a full dock system as
competitors bring their boats to stage at NCYC before the race. I am offering direction to help
make certain that we can accommodate as many vessels as possible. We politely ask
competitors intending to stage their boat at NCYC to reach out to docks@ncyc.net as soon as
possible to ensure that we will have space for your vessel. Please phone our club manager,
Dave Disbennet, at 419-350-3446 before you depart your home port for to obtain a dock
assignment, and then hail on VHF channel 72 as you approach our harbor.
We encourage you to transport your boat to NCYC on Saturday, June 1 so you can join us for
our annual Commodore Perry Race. Your boat can remain at our club for the until you depart
for the Mills Race starting area. Competitors who participate in the Commodore Perry Race will get priority dockage.
